What is Cyber Secure Networks?

Cyber Secure Networks is a SAAS ( Software As A Service ) company that provides API based tools to filter eCommerce transactions improving Merchant Account health, Approval rates, while reducing Declines and Fraud.

What is a "Pre-Scrub"?

Before running a transaction through processing channels, a "Pre-Scrub" examines the transaction running it through hundreds of points of payment checks returning a recommendation of what to do before processing.

What is the difference between CSN Certify, CSN Sentry, and CSN Validator?

CSN Sentry and CSN Validator are two engines that power CSN Certify. A CSN Certify request has access to the SENTRY Engine and the VALIDATOR Engine. Within the request, you can opt to omit either the SENTRY or VALIDATOR functionality if you wish, however, both are run and available to you by defult.

How does this help me?

Improved Merchant Account Health:

  • Acquiring banks maintain an account Health system which influences how strict they must be in approving and accepting eCommerce transactions. They do this by monitoring; Decline Rates, Chargeback Rates, Fraud Rates, and general transaction quality. Improving your account Health score leads to a higher approval rate.

Reduced Decline Rates

  • By scrubbing out transactions that are already known to result in a Decline, your merchant account Decline rate can be greatly reduced.

Reduced Fraud Rates

  • Known and Suspected Fraud can be determined during the "Pre-Scrub" phase and by filtering out these transactions before sending them for processing, Fraud Rates can be dropped resulting in better Merchant Account Health.

Improved Approval Rates

Post Transaction Fraud

  • When a transaction is disputed ( or becomes a "Chargeback" ), the revenue is taken, a fine is issued, and a mark is placed on the Merchant themselves. This can end up being significantly more costly than a simple refund would have been. In addition, too many disputes can shut down the Merchant's bank account halting their ability to conduct business. How does CSN work?

How much does it cost?

Cyber Secure Networks works on either a per request, or monthly model. Cost begins at $0.08 on the pre-payment model and discounts are given with subscription or custom models.

Is any of my data shared?

No. Virtually all data that is passed to Cyber Secure Networks is transient and minimal data is stored. This data is segmented to your account, encrypted, and inaccessible to any other parties.

What does "configurable" mean with the services?

The various engines allow the account holder to filter and act upon transactions and transaction events based on attributes. These configurations will result in returns reflecting the preferences outlined by the account holder. All returns come with a description of what filter or configuration resulted in the return.

How do I sign up for CSN Services?

On-boarding is self-serve and can be done by simply Registering for an account online.

How long does it take for my account to be active?

Accounts are active immediately after automated registration is complete. The API becomes active as soon as a payment method is registered through the Portal

Can I shut off my services or account?

Services are not activated or de-activated. The API is available on a per use basis at the user's discretion. If you are a SUBSCRIPTION client with a monthly re-charge, you can deactivate this by contacting support@cybersecurenetworks.com or by "pausing" or shutting off services. You will not lose your accrued credit

Am I billed for all services if I only use one?

No. You are only billed for the services you access through your API calls.

What is the monthly cost of CSN services?

For a Pre-Payment or Per-Request model, nothing. Everything is billed on a per-use basis. For SUBSCRIPTION models, the monthly fee is the listed or committed monthly charge plus a discounted rate applied to any requests above the allotted number included in the monthly cost.

How am I billed for using CSN?

After registering, you will be asked to provide a Credit Card for billing purposes. Multiple Credit Cards can be put on file and used to charge your account. One of these must be selected as the Primary Payment Method and will be the one used by default on all automated billings. Depending on your particular needs and subject to qualification ( CSN can be contacted for enrollment in different billing models ) you can be billed in a couple of ways;

  • Pre-Payment. You decide how much to fund your account to make services available for query. This is done manually and against the selected Payment Method. With each query, the funds loaded into your account will be decremented. When you run out of funds, the services becomes unavailable.
  • Auto-Recharge. You can configure your account to automatically recharge funds into your account with a specified amount when your account funds decrease to a certain level. This is done against the Primary / Default Payment Method on File.
  • Subscription. If you elect to enroll in a subscription model, your Primary / Default Payment Method will be charged monthly according to the level in which you are enrolled. You may also elect to enroll in Auto-Recharge to add funds to your account in the event that you surpass the number of requests allotted with your subscription tier.
  • Invoice. For select, qualifying accounts, a weekly invoice model is available. CSN Service use is calculated weekly and Invoices are generated. The Primary / Default payment method will be billed to close out the Invoice.

All Payments result in the creation of a Receipt that is available within the PORTAL for view or download as well as emailed to the configured email address on file for the Account.

Can I check my costs?

Yes. Costs are tracked in real time and are available for view within the Portal

Cyber Secure Networks makes recommendations based on known high risk attributes and can be found in the CSN Sentry sections of the Portal
